Privacy Policy
My Digital Garage - Vehicle Document Vault is designed with privacy in mind. This page explains what the app stores, how automated vehicle lookup works, and what happens if you choose to use premium features.
Data Collection
My Digital Garage does not collect, track, or sell personal data.
All vehicle details, documents, images, and profile information you enter are stored locally on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud storage.
Vehicle Data Lookup
The app may automatically check vehicle information such as MOT and tax status using official UK government vehicle data services.
When a vehicle is added to the app, the registration number may be sent securely to government vehicle data services (DVLA and DVSA) via the app’s backend in order to retrieve vehicle information.
The developer does not store registration numbers, lookup history, or any personal identity information.
Requests are processed only to return information to your device.
iCloud Sync
If iCloud sync is enabled, your data is stored in your personal Apple iCloud container using CloudKit.
Only you can access this data through your Apple ID. The developer cannot access your content.
Documents & Images
Any photos or scanned documents you add remain on your device and/or your private iCloud storage.
Documents and images are not uploaded to third-party servers and are not analysed or shared.
Notifications
The app may generate local notifications for reminders such as MOT expiry, tax renewal, insurance renewal, service due dates, and driving licence expiry.
These notifications are created entirely on-device.
Analytics & Tracking
My Digital Garage uses no analytics SDKs, performs no tracking, and contains no advertising.
Payments & Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription or in-app purchase, payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store.
The developer does not receive or store your payment card details, bank details, or full billing information.
The developer may receive limited transaction information from Apple, such as the product purchased, subscription status, and purchase dates, solely to enable app features and manage access.
Data Deletion
You can delete your data at any time by removing vehicles or documents within the app.
Deleting the app removes local data. If iCloud sync is enabled, data may remain in iCloud until you delete it from within the app or via your iCloud storage settings.
